Support Request: ComputerName variable in advertising screen

Using $(ComputerName) in the url works fine for startpages and screensaver but does not seem to work for the advertising screen.

The navigated URL for the ad screen is unparsed as$(ComputerName).

And yes, I have checked the spelling....

Is this a bug?

Best regards,

which skin are you using at which point in the configuration exactly you want to use this variable?

I am using the default IE skin. The variable is entered in the configuration as the single line in the advertizing monitor settings.

as the settings of the start page and the screensaver are related to the hard coded part of SiteKiosk the string $(ComputerName) will be translated.
The settings for the ad URLs are related to the script part of SiteKiosk and in the script part environment variables will not be translated at all.

Therefore you have to edit the skin and to use the "ExpandPathVariables Method" of the SiteKiosk Object Model.
The regarding file for the IE skin is Ads.js in the path \SiteKiosk\Skins\IESkin\Scripts

More information you will find in the SiteKiosk help (Customization (SiteSkin) and in the SiteKiosk Object Model help.
