Support Request: Access to a folder

Hi, I have setup a copy of SiteKiosk 6.2 using the interface where you get a start menu, with all the apps. Is there a way to create a folder on that start menu to open the file manager under that section?

I have a few file templates that the sitekiosk users need to access quickly everyday, and I can't seem to be able to add a folder that is easly accesible for them. Right now I have it to the point where the file manager has a list of folders on the left side of the window, and you can click on the folder and up come all the word templates, but I have been requested to create an easier link to it. either on the start menu, or on the desktop background.

this is generally possible. You have to modify the scripting of the SiteKiosk skin.

You should start with the TrayWindow.htm (this file includes Start menu) of the skin you are using and the Selector.html (File Manager) in the path ...\SiteKiosk\Skins\Public\Media\FileManager.

More information you will find in the SiteKiosk help "Customization (SiteSkin) and in the SiteKiosk Object Model help.

Please consider our business hours:

As the SiteKiosk File Manager was integrated since SiteKiosk 6.2.51 and the path hasn’t changed since then and even in SiteKiosk 6.2.51 it is the same path.

But you can also update to the actual version 6.6.213 for free if you own a SiteKiosk 6.x license.
