Support Request: Restricted access acount on startup and no access

Description

I am having recurring problems with a terminal running windows 2000 that keeps booting up into restricted user access and has the safe image on the screen but cannot go any further from this screen .We have installed the software twicw on the same machine but has happened again. We are using a wirelesslink usb card with this machine , we have other machines with the same configuration file but no wireless link and have had no problems . The wirless link software is located in the startup menu. Any ideas would be wonderful

Regards

Edward

Hello,

if the wireless card application/driver is loaded via an autostart entry you should make sure that it is included in the run key of the registry instead, as a normal autostart entry is not sufficient enough when also running SiteKiosk in autostart mode.
Open the registry (Start->Run-> type in regedit). Then go to hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run and make sure that the wireless card related application is entered there (including parameters which might be necessary to start it in the right mode).

Another possibility is to use the Scheduled Task functionality of the Windows system.
