Support Request: Entire screen not usable in winforms app on top of provisio

Description

Hi,
skcfg can be mailed separately.

We are running a winforms app on top of the provisio client.

No matter which background screen we use, we cannot make our app true full screen in either windowed or fullscreen modes as provisio blocks the bottom 40 pixels. It appears to be sending resize events even if we programmatically force our app to full screen.

This is a blocking problem for us at the moment, please advise how we can use the ENTIRE screen in a winforms app running on top of Provisio.

thanks,
Brett

Hello,

Regarding your description you didn’t start SiteKiosk with shell replacement.

You can use the auto start mode to start SiteKiosk with shell replacement in the SiteKiosk user account or the custom start settings to start SiteKiosk with shell replacement in any other Windows user account.

You are correct that we don't use shell replacement.

We need full screen without shell replacement.

Hello,

Is there a specific reason for starting SiteKiosk without shell replacement?

Hi, the primary reason is that our app doesn't work at all in shell replacement mode. We hadn't tried the shell replacement mode until recently as it's not needed for us, when we try it our app never starts.

Hello,

Did you check how the application will be started?
Please see this FAQ how you generally need to proceed to start an external application when SiteKiosk starts with shell replacement (there are several ways).
http://www.provisio.com/CustomerSupportCenter/ArticleDetails.aspx?ArticleID=5353

If that doesn’t work the external application may needs the Windows desktop shell to able to start.
