Support Request: title bar in a popup window

Description

Hello,

is it possible to disable the minimize button in the subwindow's title bar? If one minimizes a window by accident it can't be found/retrieved again and sooner or later we run into too many windows error. It would be even nicer/better to hide the title bar at all. The close button is there already in the toolbar. Could we use the SiteKiosk toolbar's "maximize" button in a subwindow?

BR and Thank You!

Hello,

The title bar of the window is part of the Windows system and cannot be changed by SiteKiosk.
Instead you may enable the task bar at the bottom again so that users can access the window after it was minimized.

Yes, but only if you don’t enable the permanent full screen mode.
You can e.g. use the option to only use the full screen mode for specific web addresses (e.g. your start page URL) or even disable the full screen mode at all.

At “-->Start Page & Browser-->Customize-->Browser Toolbar” you can configure which buttons you want to display and if the URL address bar is visible or not.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunatelly the option with the task bar/tabs doesn't suit us. Are you absolutely sure there is no way around it?

Best Regards

Hello,

In that case you would need to create a script (e.g. external script with using SiteKiosk Object Model > 6. Execute script file https://www.provisio.com/helpconsole/SiteKiosk%20Help/en-US/default.htm?advanced_settings.htm) to maximize the window automatically when it is minimized or check if there is any Windows system setting or Windows tool to hide the minimize button of the windows.

Hello,

we looked at the API and found a function which returns the list of open windows. Unfortunatelly it shows background windows from the system as well (i.e. Teamviewer). Then we found the WindowType property, which works fine in IE, but not in Chrome, it says WindowType==3 for SiteKiosk subwindows which is the same as other external windows, so we can't filter which windows are from the SiteKiosk. Do you have any other suggestions?

Thank your for your help!
