Support Request: Return to first page of pdf after user inactivity

Description

Is there a way to force a return to the first page of a PDF after a period of user inactivity? Is it possible to add a "home" button to the PDF navigation that takes you to the first page?

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. You will need to use the Webpage element and web URL link with "#page=1" after PDF file name, example, " https://www.sitekiosk.com/wp-content/uploads/sitekiosk-en.pdf#page=1 " (This test works best in Google Chrome outside of SiteKiosk). With this, you can use the Home button and idle timeout to reset the file to start. Or you can use the webpage element, upload the PDF file to Media Library and call it in the browser with URL: " content://sitekiosk-en.pdf ". This will only reset the PDF file to page 1 on idle timeout (Home and Reload did not work).

Alternatively, you could create a button or use another element as a button and set the Popup property for your PDF file. This will ensure that users start on Page 1, when they click or touch that element. (You can see Popups tutorial video in Dashboard>>Start.)

These are the best options since the default behavior is to remember the last view page of that PDF document. Idle timeout settings can be found in your project>>Settings>>General>>Idle & Zoom.

Best regards,
Andre.
