Support Request: No access to Start Screen sometimes

Dear Provisio Support,

we have two kiosks with SiteKiosk that are running about 15 hour of day. Sometimes there is no access to Start Screen (like Windows 8 UI). Only language bar and logout button are functional. When you try touch or click by mouse on the colored panel there is showed small point like small cros or x on the touch place/point. Only restart of the computer can fix this problem.

This problem appears on the morning mostly, but sometimes SiteKiosk is running properly on the morning and problem appears on or about noon (a few hour after SiteKiosk started).
SiteKiosk is running on Windows 7 Home 32 bit.

If you have any tips or hint how to resolve this problem, please give me some.

Hello,

There is no generally known trouble with the start screen but you may send the following files via e-mail that we can have a look at it:
- The SiteKiosk configuration (…\SiteKiosk\Config\YourConfig.skcfg)
- A ZIP of the folder “content” at “C:\Users\Public\SiteKiosk”
- The corresponding SiteKiosk log files (…\SiteKiosk\Logfiles) with the information at which date & time the problem occurred.

You may also have a look at the Windows Event log at check it for errors and warnings for the time span the problem occurred.
