Is there a way to filter Google and YouTube SSL search? Youtube is not filtered as it uses SSL (https) you can search for any words despite all the words and blacklist words in content filter but soon as you goto youtube and you type an inappropriate word it blocks and if you browse some video on youtube and try again with an inappropriate word it allows without blocking. Is there a solutuion to block https searches???

Using Sitekiosk 8.8 Build 1686

You will first need to update to the most current version of SiteKiosk (version 8.9).

The content filter relies on URLs and text to block inappropriate content. It is possible to block Google image search completely in the SiteKiosk Surfing Area (>Basic >Surfing Area) by making the following entry as denied. **.google.com/search

Hello,

It was a long journey to renew the update license to new sitekiosk as the change of law in EU as a result without a VAT you cannot buy sitekiosk from Sitekiosk website what a shame, it took very long time to get hold of a retailer. We were told that the retailer would offer the same price as the sitekiosk website € 49 instead the retailer tried to sell almost double the price but eventually we got it down to £45.60 which is still higher than what is advertised on Sitekiosk website, what a rip off.

Despite obtaining the new license recently and updating to the latest version 8.9.2821 still can not filter youtube inappropriate search. First time you go to youtube and type a blacklist word it blocks nothing shows up as it should be. However if you view an allowed video and search for a blacklisted word, it lists inappropriate videos with blacklisted words with "access denied" popup window or content filter popup window. What is the purpose of just a pop up window saying it is blocked or denied and allowing to be accessed? I am back to square one. Updating to latest version did not solve the problem.

Annoyingly Internet explorer doesn't maximise when it is opened through Sitekiosk and I have unselected and selected the settings at start page display options etc.. I am so disappointed and frustrated with the product. If it was designed with built in words and websites for content filtering as well why does it allow most common foul words on internet search if not added into content filter or surfing area?

Not Very happy at all..Very disappointed, spent whole Sunday afternoon trying various methods and running through help files etc to fix this problem

Posting again since there is no response..

Hello,

Please send your SiteKiosk configuration file (…\SiteKiosk\Config\YourConfig.skcfg) and a step by step description about how to reproduce the described behaviours to
support-europe(at)provisio.com

Then we will try to reproduce it and figure out how it can be solved.

I am sorry for the experience you had with the reseller but Provisio GmbH is not responsible for the EU law or the pricing of a reseller.
