Support Request: mime-filter configuration query

Description

I need to switch off Shockwave Flash within SiteKiosk. I have done this on the IE browser, but SiteKiosk enables it again. There doesn't seem to be a way to do this through the front end so I assume you have to edit the skcfg file. The individual entry looks like this: <filter enabled="true" player="flash" content="application/x-shockwave-flash" action="2" />
I assume enabled needs to be set to false, but what is the action key and does it need to be changed?

Hello,

This entry just configures if the flash content is played in the SiteKiosk Player (it just embeds the flash file into an html page when clicking on a link with such file-->…\SiteKiosk\Html\Player\Player.html). But setting it to false will not disable Flash.

That needs to be done on Windows / in the Internet Explorer (since Windows 8 Adobe Flash is integrated into the IE automatically) but within the user account you run SiteKiosk in because that setting is user dependent.
e.g. https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-10-ie.html

How to change that IE setting in SiteKiosk user account please see here:

Alternatively you may switch to Chrome Browser skin where Flash is disabled by default.

Hello,

In a short test I noticed that the IE setting is apparently no longer used in the IE web browser control.
However, using a corresponding group policy has worked.

Found this with Google:
1. Open the Group Policy Editor
2. Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Security Features > Add-on Management.
3. Double-click on "Turn off Adobe Flash in Internet Explorer and prevent applications from using Internet Explorer technology to instantiate Flash objects".
4. Set the policy to "Enabled".
5. Click on ok.

Alternatively you still may switch to Chrome Browser skin where Flash is disabled by default.
