Support Request: Filemanager feature in SiteKiosk Online

Description

Hi,

I don't find the functionality FileManager in SiteKiosk Online. This feature was part of SiteKiosk Classic. It allows the end user to save files on USB sticks for example. Can you provide help to activate this feature on Sitekiosk Online?

Hello,

I am sorry but the file manager is actually not available with SiteKiosk Online and is planned for a future version (currently there is no date for this yet).

this is annoying because this feature is clearly describe in the SiteKiosk Online brochure: https://www.sitekiosk.com/wp-content/uploads//sitekiosk-en.pdf on page 7.

I suppose that we can integrate your own filemanager by creating our own Dialog based on Electron? Is there any documentation how to create a Dialog with SiteKiosk Online?

Hello,

yes, that's right; unfortunately the text is a bit imprecise and obviously suggested something else by referring to the term file manager.

But in general, the text in the brochure is correct.

If you allow downloads you can also activate a download button in the browser toolbar (activatable in the web page element https://sitekiosk.online/help/en/Webpage.html), where you then can open downloaded files.
By default, you can open downloaded PDF, TXT, PNG, GIF, JPG and JPEG files.
Further filetypes can be added with the advanced settings at the path downloads.downloadFileActions
